Security Note
We maintain separate data environments for each customer. Your business intelligence is never commingled with another customer's data, and is never used to train or improve models for other accounts.
4. Third-Party Services
We work with trusted third-party providers to deliver our Services. These include:
- Analytics: We use privacy-focused analytics to understand platform usage patterns (no personally identifiable information is shared)
- Payment Processing: Billing is handled by Stripe, which maintains PCI-DSS Level 1 compliance. We never store full credit card numbers on our servers
- Cloud Infrastructure: Our platform runs on enterprise cloud infrastructure with ISO 27001 certification
- Communication: We use trusted email service providers for transactional and service communications
We do not sell your personal information to any third party. We do not share your business data with other customers, advertisers, or data brokers.

6. Data Retention
We retain your information based on the following guidelines:
- Account Data: Retained for the duration of your active subscription plus 90 days after account closure
- Analysis Reports: Available for the duration of your subscription. Archived for 30 days after cancellation, then permanently deleted
- Usage Logs: Retained for 12 months for security and operational purposes, then anonymized
- Billing Records: Retained for 7 years as required by tax and financial regulations
You may request early deletion of your data at any time by contacting our privacy team.
7. Children's Privacy
Ontevo is a business-to-business platform designed for use by business professionals. Our Services are not directed to individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18 years of age. If we become aware that we have collected personal data from a minor, we will take immediate steps to delete that information.

Terms of Service
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Ontevo platform, website, and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By creating an account, accessing, or using any part of the Services, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you are using the Services on behalf of a company or organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Account Terms
- You must provide accurate, complete, and current information when creating your account
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
- You must notify us immediately of any unauthorized access to your account
- One person or legal entity may not maintain more than one free account
3. Subscription & Billing
- Plans: Service tiers, features, and pricing are described on our Pricing page and may be updated from time to time
- Billing Cycle: Subscriptions are billed monthly or annually, depending on the plan selected
- Payment: Payments are processed securely through Stripe. You authorize us to charge your selected payment method on each billing date
- Upgrades & Downgrades: Plan changes take effect at the start of the next billing cycle. Prorated credits may be issued for mid-cycle downgrades at our discretion
- Refunds: Our 30-Day Truth Guarantee applies to new subscribers. Beyond the guarantee period, subscription fees are non-refundable except where required by applicable law
- Taxes: All fees are exclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
4. Acceptable Use
You agree to use the Services only for lawful business purposes. Prohibited activities are detailed in our Acceptable Use Policy below.
5. Intellectual Property
- Our IP: The Services, including all software, algorithms, designs, text, and proprietary analyzers (the "Truth Layer"), are owned by Ontevo and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or create derivative works of our platform
- Your Data: You retain all rights to the data you provide. By using our Services, you grant us a limited license to process your data solely to deliver the Services
- Reports & Outputs: Analysis reports and recommendations generated for your account are licensed to you for your internal business use. You may not resell, redistribute, or publicly publish reports without our written consent
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- Ontevo provides the Services "as-is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied
- Our recommendations and analysis are advisory in nature. We do not guarantee specific revenue outcomes or business results
- Our total liability for any claims arising from or related to the Services shall not exceed the fees paid by you in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim
- We shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages
7. Termination
- By You: You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings. Access continues until the end of your current billing period
- By Us: We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, engage in prohibited activities, or fail to pay applicable fees
- Effect of Termination: Upon termination, your access to the Services ceases and your data is handled in accordance with our data retention policies described in our Privacy Policy
8. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice within the platform at least 30 days before taking effect. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Delaware.

Acceptable Use Policy

- Scrape, mine, or extract data from our platform for unauthorized purposes or to build competing products
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble our proprietary algorithms or AI analyzers
- Share, resell, or redistribute account credentials or analysis outputs to unauthorized parties
- Interfere with or disrupt the integrity or performance of the Services or related infrastructure
- Transmit malware, viruses, or other harmful code through the platform
- Impersonate another person or entity, or falsify account information
- Use the Services for any purpose that is fraudulent, deceptive, or harmful to others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Use automated tools (bots, crawlers) to access the Services outside of approved integrations
Rate Limits & Fair Use
To ensure fair access and optimal performance for all users:
- Analysis Requests: Each subscription tier includes a defined number of analysis runs per billing cycle. Exceeding these limits may result in queued processing or temporary throttling
- Concurrent Sessions: Accounts are limited to a reasonable number of concurrent sessions based on plan tier
- Data Volume: Excessively large analysis requests (e.g., scanning entire marketplaces) may be subject to additional fees or scheduling constraints
API Usage Terms
If your subscription includes API access:
- API keys are confidential and must not be shared publicly or embedded in client-side code
- Rate limits are enforced per API key: exceeding documented limits will result in HTTP 429 responses
- API output is subject to the same intellectual property and redistribution restrictions as platform reports
- We reserve the right to revoke API access for violations of this policy
- API uptime targets and support levels are defined in your subscription plan
Enforcement
Violations of this policy may result in temporary suspension or permanent termination of your account. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking action, except in cases of severe or repeated violations that pose a risk to our platform or other users.
